Montol is a traditional Cornish midwinter festival. Celebrations include Guise dancing, the Cornish candle dance and the performance of traditional mummers plays such as St George and the Turkish Knight.

You can smell the grease paint and feel the hot flame of burnt berry in this one. But just beneath the surface is the slightest seductive hint of old mauve lace. Proceed with caution - it might just take your breath away.

Approx 415 yards of 100% superwash Merino 3-ply sport weight yarn hand dyed in rum-raisin and blackened plum. Should be more than plenty for a smooshy pair of socks.
