This yarn is wholly imported form England. For socks, I would knit on US#1-2. 75% Superwash Corriedale wool/ 25% Nylon - completely machine washable.

The Corriedale is the result of selected breeding using Lincoln and English Leicester rams on Merino ewes. This breed is the oldest of the crossbred wool breeds. The average staple length is between 4-7 inches, with a well-defined lock and pronounced and even crimp. The average micron count for fibers is between 25 and 32.
