Summer Manifesto {Mom’s version}

Sneak attack blog post! I couldn’t resist AliedWard‘s call for a Summer Manifesto. (She is hosting a link up if you want to share yours.)

I love the idea of listing out fun and inspiring to-do’s, instead of that other kind of to-do list. Just imagine the adventures we could get into. We try to spend as much time as possible outside in the summer months because we get about 6-9 months of crappish weather. Hiking in light drizzle has become a wee bit more acceptable to the kid-folk, but I gotta be honest, it’s just not the same.

The kids probably have other ideas. I’ll ask them when they get home and see. The good ideas will be added. The ‘sitting on my keyster playing Xbox’ ones shall be veto’d…probably. =D

This summer we all have cameras, bikes and the confidence to use them (well, for the most part). And this is the last summer that my girl will be home as a ‘kid’. She is off to bigger things soon. So we are going to make this one extra splendiferous!

What is on your Summer Manifesto? What do you dream of doing this summer?
